8th Grade Trip News

The weather has thrown us for a bit of a loop in our trip planning.  If you have not submitted the second payment for your trip, please send that in on Monday.  If you don't remember how much you owe, please email me or Julie Seith, jseith@live.com.  After this round of payments I will send out another email with account details for our final payment, which is due March 10th.

Students and chaperones should complete the online Washington, D.C. Preferences form.  Please complete one form for each student attending and one for each chaperone.  Please, please, please submit these forms by Sunday, March 1st.  Our rooming list deadline is looming.  If you can't get to the form, or are otherwise having trouble submitting the information, please send me an email letting me know your child's name, with whom he or she would like to room, and any food allergies that he or she may have.  NOTE - this process is much easier if your child actually has conversations with the folks he or she lists.  I'm not a digital native, but I am aware that kids communicate all the time through social media.  This should not be too difficult for them.  Please also note that band and chorus students may wish to room together.  That's fine.  Just make sure to provide first and last names of students - I need all the help I can get!

If you are interested in chaperoning but your name does not appear above, please contact me.  It's not too late!  If you have not registered as a volunteer with Wake County, please do so this Monday.  You may access the volunteer registration portal from any Wake County school on Mondays only, 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.  You must have the highest level of volunteer clearance in order to chaperone overnight trips.
